The Latest in Web Surveys PDF Print E-mail

In 1997, our President (Steve Boespflug) was involved in managing the first Web-based survey ever conducted by Hewlett-Packard.  Since then, we have witnessed the exciting progression of Web-based data collection and the professional development of its contributors.

Prior to 2006, quality concerns kept us from recommending Web surveys for projects beyond customer satisfaction.  Since then, however, significant improvements have been made and continue to evolve, including:

  • Growth of online panel membership and much better and broader demographic and business representation;
  • Online panel integrity and higher respondent interest due to significantly improved recruiting methods, incentives and stringent fielding management protocols to minimize panel burn and respondent fatigue.

Voice Count Data Quality Standards

Data quality and representation are the most critical elements to the success of Web surveys, but panel companies can only do so much.

Having unique partnership arrangements with the world’s leading panel companies, Voice Count has worked closely with its partners to develop an efficient proprietary process for identifying only the most qualified respondents.  This includes digital fingerprinting methods within a proprietary 12-step manual process applied during both pre-survey screening and post-survey data evaluation.  The end result is the highest possible quality of responses (including open-ends), combined with detailed on-going feedback that plugs into our partners’ own panel maintenance efforts to eliminate fraudulent respondents and ban them from future Voice Count surveys.

Voice Count’s additional standard offerings include:

  • More dynamic, creative and engaging surveys to increase the appeal of completing surveys;
  • Web-based qualitative research via virtual qualitative interviews and focus groups; and
  • Secure and private client portals where clients can review survey progress and have the option of customizing their own reports and downloading data files.
